Here are the patch notes.

And here are the changes to Makeb I was talking about.

Quote:Game Update 2.9: Galactic Strongholds Early Access

The GSI Satellite Support Service is now in open beta testing on Makeb. Once registered with the GSI support satellites, GSI will track your every move and provide you with the following support services:
Gear is now bolstered to a 156 rating while on Makeb, increasing all stats!
When combat is detected, a Medical Probe will be deployed to administer long-lasting, refreshing Kolto, healing you for 2% every 3 seconds while you remain in combat.
There is now a 250% boost to exploration Experience while on Makeb.

The density of enemies on Makeb has been reduced.

Hmmm... why the changes to Makeb? Was it to hard for some people?

No, but most people weren't going back to Makeb after completing the story on one character, or after maxing their reputation. And the dailies were just more trouble than they were worth. There are easier, more efficient ways to level.

Also, the mobs are very densely packed there. It's very hard to get to some places without fighting through 30 mobs. This should help with that.

I think this is to get people back to Makeb, and also to help with the Planetary Conquests that use the Makeb Staged Weekly quests for conquest points. And it could be Bioware's way to help everyone get to level 55 quicker, in anticipation of the expected level cap increase to 60.
