Yeah, MTV went down hill a good 15 years ago. Palladia is alright, but they have this weird thing of playing a country video and a rap video back to back.
15 years ago sounds about right for mtv. an Arch's description sums up mtv effectively well .
Actually there was this time in the late 80s where MTV played Monty Crew's Home Sweet Home video 24/7. It really sucked then too.
I remember in college (94-95) at nights they had Beavis and Butthead then Eon Flux and then an hour or two of actual music videos. It otherwise had crappy game shows on the rest of the day. Of course those couple hours of if you can call it quality programming went away and replaced by the real world or some such crap. I think they stopped making music videos for a decade until Youtube came around.
Pretty much ... some netwroks have clued in reality tv sucks and no one wants to watch it anymore.
