I will be a playin'..

Head Count - Underdark - 08-08-2010

The lotro guild I am in make a player go through a 2-3 week period of recruitment period. Where as the recruit, contacts an officer to set up an instance run or what not with members of the said guild to run with. Then the members post flaws/skills that the member possesses, and why they would be a valuable asset to the team. (remember this guild is high end raid/pvp)

Recruits must have enough play time with guild members/officers, and play through atleast two successful raids before actually being accepted to the guild. Once they are part of the guild, they are allowed to roll on loot in raids. Instance runs are FFA.

As for PvP, if anyone truly loves PvP they should already know the basic ropes. (ie know player classes, and greatest disadvantages of those classes). Obviously, it takes much knowledge to truly be great, but knowing your class inside and out is the best skill you can obtain in any aspect of an MMO.

LOL D'hors. Yoda Stories? That was an obscure reference for sure. =) I like Pallos' idea of leaders for each type. We've done that in the past, and it works. I think we would need a few people for leading the raids though due to scheduling. As for the other things, odds are I'll be stuck doing paperwork. =P

Anyway, it will start to fall in place as the game launches and we know what to work with. Anyone get in beta yet?

I agree completely as well. I just want us to be a bit more purposeful as a guild in bringing people together and keeping them that way.

Head Count - Sonic - 08-12-2010

I hearby withdraw my 'I will be a playin'..' statement. I got better games to play made by a better game developer that almost semi cares about what I want in a space game.

Head Count - Meryl Haddox - 08-13-2010

I'll still play, like Quin, the ground game interests me more then the space game, although I don't blame Sonic, or anyone else, for being pissed about the space side of things

Head Count - Starfire - 08-13-2010

Oh come on Sonic. You have to play the ground game. Yeah, the space is a joke... Not surprising really. Maybe they will pull their heads out at some point about that, but I think the game will still be fun.

Head Count - Quinlin - 08-13-2010

I'll say space is a disappoint, especially to a space guild like SBR. However, I'll also say that playing an MMO for only one one thing (in this case, space), is a waste.

Hmm.. Okay, then. So, since space is out, and according to you playing the game just for ground is a waste.. I stand by my current mood. Thanks for legitimizing my attitude. =P

Head Count - Quinlin - 08-13-2010

Never said I would play just ground. Just because space isn't like SWG style, doesn't mean I won't play it.

Head Count - Sonic - 08-13-2010

I still say my interpretation of your reality is justifiable to my cause.

Head Count - Quinlin - 08-13-2010

Hey, if you don't wanna play, I'm not gonna try and force you. What I had said for Q goes for anyone else. I don't want friends spending money on a game they aren't gonna enjoy.

Head Count - Sonic - 08-13-2010

Get outta my head, Quinlin.. :mep:

Head Count - Quinlin - 08-13-2010

But it's warm in here Sad

Head Count - Zombie - 08-28-2010

yes yes and yes! Jedi Guardian.

Btw has any SBR gotten into game testing (beta)? Its not against the NDA to say you have...just cant say anything more.
