SOE officially announced today the next release for the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game, Squadrons Over Corellia. Scheduled to hit in mid-December, this one is going to be big!
This all-new set features over 250 new cards and introduces a new type of Item card, Starships. There are familiar ships like the X-wing, the Millennium Falcon, the TIE Bomber, and the KSE Firespray just to name a few, and some favorite Star Wars® characters like Han Solo, the Emperor, and Jabba the Hutt finally enter the game!

hehe the V wing might be a fun ship to fly . Wonder if one the other ship loot cards will be the older jedi starfighter used in ep 2 . an in clone wars animated series .

Why in the Hell, as a pilot, would I want to own a card game with ships that I want to fly/control? I'm sorry, just can't get excited over that.. Oh, and by the way...

Yeah, if it were the Delta-7 (The old JSF) I would be all over that. The V-Wing is just a TIE wannabe. Like the new JSF.

Closest thing on a capship you will get in SWG is gunboats that we got now, space is not big enough for capships.
Besides they would require a huge crew and be easy to gun down.
And why should we have a V-Wing... it would make more sense if we got something else that is more retro starwars than what is before before the current timeline.
EG. the hoth instance is the very best related stuff to SWG that actually fits into things better lol, as well as it is the most huge instance we got.

I get your point.. Ghost Legion also had Cap ships sort of speaking... but it would not be an option in this game.... would you like 20 cap ships fighting each other to get room for getting to a destination and they simply wont fit in or whatever.
maybe if they expanded the space zones 10X times or so we could have corvettes... and by that we would need lots of lots of lots of content to go with as well for it being a posibility that they would do that or so sadly enough... it is not enough that the only end game content is Space PvP only...

"We" may have the technology, but "They" don't, sorry to say. Gun boats are fine enough I suppose. Just a taste of what could be but really isn't.

but again how would you get a crew?.. it is harsh enough to find 6 people for the gunboat now think about a corvette that would needa crew of 20 if not more... you need to put it into perspective sonic bro :/
Besides there would not be quite the coverage for space as there is no content for more common pilots to look at in which makes it very bad to develop such thing as there would be pretty much no use of it either.
None offense... but it is not enough that the pilot end game content is PvP... not many would like to PvP 24-7-365.... the people NEED content before it should be thrown into the air..
RP, Gamer alike content you can do with people and requires people to do it, else it is utter boring.. even I will admit its boring... you as well Sonic.... you log in, talk to the guys.. head into space pvping for an hour.. land again and log off the game and come back 2 weeks after.
