Yeah, that T-Bar lightsaber is ridiculous on a level I can't even describe. So laughing for the wrong reasons is good? I still haven't seen the preview. I'm just amused by this thing poking fun at it. That light axe was fantastic. The jawa guy was funny too. Old School!
The T-Bar is clearly paying tribute to Darth Maul's double bladed lightsaber, which was one of the few high lights of EP1. On the surface is seems cheesy, but it all comes down to how it is used in the movie. I'm not going to judge a movie based on an 88 second trailer.
Isn't that kind of the point though? The trailer shows you just enough for you to be interested or not. A double bladed lightsaber at least made some semblance of sense. This thing... the moment that guy pulled his arm back to block he'll chop the damn thing off. It is just fluff. To make the audience go "Oooooh, shiny!". All flash, no substance.
Still, the video was funny.
Hehe, and don't worry. I'll try not to pee on anyone's parade anymore. You guys enjoy the movie. I'm going to go play Rebellion. =P
Oh Kirby, even the bad movies have good trailers. You can't judge a movie by its trailer. That lightsaber maybe just a lens flair, again, is it all flash or is there more to it? Got 11 months until everyone tells you one way or another.
