but but but it cant be as bad as the clone wars animated stuff
Hey! I kind of like the Clone Wars animated stuff... Smile
Don't let Ghent see that post Tongue
FYI, the parent league of Saber Wing back in the day creator is now working as a lightning animator on clone wars. While I am not in the demographic for that cartoon nor do I watch it, I have seen enough of it to know it is a quality product.

Now those chipmunk movies on the other hand, are fair game. :mep:

I wounder if Ghent will get the chance to move over to mainland Disney now and work at D-ILM on the new movies?

I suppose it all depends on if they want to move the Clone Wars Production to Florida. At least if Disney choses to host the next time for Celebration we will see Ghent there I bet, he was down there this year at the last one held in Florida.

Never seen the Chipmunk movies but I have seen Speed Racer which he worked on that too Wink
i dunno....i'm just a fan of star wars...if they put out another movie or 3...i'm probably gonna find something in each that i enjoy. but then again, i enjoyed all 6 of the others equally. to me personally it's not possible to make a bad star wars movie....maybe i'm just easily pleased
Damn Kat you are still alive =)

Long time no see... come and play swtor or something Smile
I think it's exciting, and even if the new movies are geared towards kids they will still be a great quality product. And most of us are at that age where kids are either here or will be soon. It gives us something even more to bond with our children.

No matter who they bring in, it would be wise in my opinion to steer away from the other 6 movies. With a new story line completely. My best guess (I hope) would be in the Legacy era. Lets face it, all the original actors are to old or dead to come back as anything but grandparents. It would be best to start a new story line...
Focusing on a new generation would make a lot of sense. Zahn has said that, at least back in the day, that was Lucas's general conception, if he ever went on to make the sequels. Of course, who knows what role Lucas will be playing in the production of the new movies...

The only difficulty is that the rise of the Empire allowed for an easy division between the Prequel and the Original Trilogies, since it pretty much cleared the board for a new generation. I wonder how they'll deal with that heading in to the Sequels...
I'm just hoping for a reboot of Howard the Duck. It's a natural fit for Disney.

Every time I hear about Howard the Duck, I think of this review

Maybe the new batch of movies will have lucasfilm teaming up with jim hensons creature shop so we don't have to see any more of those terrible computer generated aliens.
Farscape was such a cool show... I'd be down with more puppets than CGI.
Have you guys seen Life of Pi? If the CGI is that good, maybe not so bad.
